And our Lancashire Energy HQ campus offers a wide range of welding courses delivered by highly experienced trainers.
There’s a huge shortage of skilled welders. And demand is growing. Which means:

It doesn’t matter whether you’re new to welding or have been welding for many years – you can always learn new skills to make your job easier or the results even stronger.

Which welding course is right for you?
Lancashire Energy HQ offers courses for all levels of experience. Here's our short guide to the right welding course for you.
Getting started
Learn the basics of welding on our Level 1 and Level 2 courses. Apply for either course and during your assessment interview our expert welding trainers will
help you choose the level matched to your current experience and ability.
Level 1 and 2 welding courses are intensive, full-time, week-long practical sessions.
Competent and confident students completing Level 2 will be ready for junior welding jobs.
Extending your welding skills
Level 3 Welding and Fabrication Practice is a year-long course one evening per week for students with experience working as welders.
You'll be thirsty to take your career to the next level or move from general welding into new areas of opportunity.
Beyond Level 3, we offer short courses in welding inspection accredited by The Welding Institute (TWI).
These courses - CSWIP 3.0 (Level 1), CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2) and CSWIP (Level 3) - will take you forward in your welding career providing you with the skills to
specialise as a senior welder inspecting the work of others.
Welders are recommended to spend 4 years using skills learned during CSWIP 3.0 and CSWIP 3.1 courses before taking the final course in this series, CSWIP 3.2.
