LEHQ is a new £12m purpose-built facility, equipped with industry-standard resources and staffed by educational experts to drive excellence in STEM training standards.
Our developing curriculum aligns closely to the needs of employers, who are integral to supporting us evolve LEHQ into a one-stop-shop for all of the engineering and energy sector training needs.

WHAT IS LANCASHIRE ENERGY HQ?
Lancashire Energy HQ (LEHQ) aims to deliver the next generation of engineers and technicians through engineering, manufacturing and energy training and skills.
Developed by B&FC and co-funded by the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, the £12m facility opened in September 2017 at the newly formed Enterprise Zone at Blackpool Airport.
WHY DO WE NEED LANCASHIRE ENERGY HQ?
With aerospace, manufacturing, nuclear, tidal, wave and wind technologies at the forefront of engineering and energy development, the Fylde Coast is ideally positioned - both geographically and geologically - to drive and capitalise on this burgeoning growing industry.
With that growth comes job creation. By developing LEHQ, we can ensure we develop a suitably skilled local workforce capable of sustaining growth and safeguarding the region’s future prosperity.
