Singleton C of E Primary School

Great to host these guys at LEHQ today, year six, Singleton C of E primary school, for a STEM themed event.

The pupils were given an insight into nuclear energy production in our nuclear simulation suite, and a look at what can potentially go wrong with one or two nuclear meltdowns. Year six also engaged in a little artistic copper work, making copper hearts. A tour of the LEHQ facility and a spot of plane and helicopter spotting finished of the event.

The whole group really were a credit to their year teacher Mr Goostrey and all the staff at Singleton C of E Primary School.

Thanks to the LEHQ team of Mick, Sikander, Maddie, Duncan, John and Keri for making it such a successful event. Thanks also to Jessica Greensmith, one of our own engineering apprentices, for taking time to talk about all things engineering.
