Entry Requirements
This qualification should only be taken after completing Unit EV3 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement. It’s also recommended that you have at least six months of experience working with electric or hybrid vehicles, or you can complete a Learner Eligibility Form showing proof of related or relevant experience.
Assessment Methods
You’ll be assessed through a mix of practical tasks and knowledge-based tests to show your skills and understanding.
- Practical Assessments: You’ll demonstrate your ability to diagnose, service, and repair electric and hybrid vehicles in a workshop environment.
- Knowledge Tests: You’ll complete short online or written tests to check your understanding of electric vehicle systems, high-voltage safety, and repair procedures.
- Final Competence Review: You’ll take part in a knowledge assessment to confirm your ability to work safely and effectively as an electric vehicle technician.
