Course Overview

The content of this course has been designed to give you the knowledge and skills required to work safely on Hybrid and Pure Electric vehicles whilst carrying out diagnostic, testing and repair activities. This may include vehicles that have incurred damage to their high energy/electrical system. In successfully completing this course you will acquire significant core knowledge and skills and the ability to remove and replace Electric/Hybrid vehicle high voltage components. Anyone who completes this course with B&FC can join the IMI membership community free of charge and claim their IMI TechSafe™ recognition on the IMI Professional Register.

Entry Requirements

The course is designed for anyone who needs to work on electric vehicles as part of the maintenance or repair process. This includes (but is not limited to): Service and Repair Technicians; Diagnostic Technicians; MET Technicians; Roadside Recovery Technicians and Vehicle Body Repair Technicians.

You should have vehicle repair knowledge and skills at Level 3, or at least 3 years industry experience in a vehicle repair environment.

Please note: Where wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is a mandatory requirement of the course, it is the responsibility of the learner to ensure that they are able to wear such equipment. You should bring footwear suitable for an automotive practical workshop environment. All other equipment/resources you require for this course are provided by B&FC at no extra cost.
