Course Overview

Take your engineering skills to the next level with this Level 3 Extended Certificate. Designed for adults aged 19 and over, this course develops knowledge of experimental and practical engineering techniques to prepare you for degree-level education. There is a strong focus on employability as we aim to equip you with the skills to apply your knowledge and understanding to the workplace.

There will be plenty of opportunities to identify and solve problems as well as communicate your arguments and analysis in a range of ways to different audiences. Successful completion of the course will allow you to progress to diploma, and ultimately, degree level.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however experience in Engineering industry is beneficial. Enrolment will be subject to an interview with the Programme Leader.

Career Options and Progression

Completion of this course will allow you to progress onto our HNC or Degree Programme subject to an interview.

Assessment Methods

During each module you will undertake a range of assignments, and in 2 of the 4 modules (as detailed above) controlled exams, all designed to assess your skills, experience and knowledge.

Assignments will consist of practical-based studies, research, written assignments, and individual and group presentations.
