Course Overview
This female-only evening course has been developed exclusively for women who would like to learn the basics of motor vehicle maintenance and repair. Teaching key skills including changing wheels, checking tyre pressures, ensuring correct levels for water, oil and brake fluid and much more besides, this practical programme will give participants the confidence to maintain their own cars and tackle minor issues in between professional servicing and repair.
It has been designed both as a practical course for students who want to tackle small scale jobs for themselves and also as a springboard for those who would like to pursue a career in vehicle maintenance and who would like to progress onto our higher level programmes. Created specifically for female students who might feel more comfortable learning in a women-only environment, the course also aims to build confidence, communication and resilience whilst working within a team and also as an individual.
As well as the female-only course, we offer the same course to a mixed gender group if that would be preferable.
