Course Overview

This Defra-approved qualification offers a single unit solution that provides experienced automotive Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) technicians with evidence that they meet the minimum F-gas requirement (EC842/2006 AND ANNEX EC307/2008). All technicians working with car and car-derived van Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC), must have achieved as a minimum requirement, a refrigerant handling qualification which fulfils the European Union F-gas Regulation (EC842/2006 and Annex to Regulation EC307/2008). Entry Requirements

The course is designed for anyone who needs to work on Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) as part of the maintenance or repair process. This includes (but is not limited to): Service and Repair Technicians; Diagnostic Technicians; MET Technicians; Roadside Recovery Technicians and Vehicle Body Repair Technicians.

You should have vehicle repair knowledge and skills at Level 2, or at least 3 years industry experience in a vehicle repair environment.

Please note: Where wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is a mandatory requirement of the course, it is the responsibility of the learner to ensure that they are able to wear such equipment. Career Options and Progression

On successful completion of this course you will be issued with a certificate compliant with European Union F-gas Regulation (EC842/2006 and Annex to Regulation EC307/2008).

You should bring footwear suitable for an automotive practical workshop environment. All other equipment/resources you require for this course are provided by B&FC at no extra cost.
