In a world of ever-changing rules and regulations, industry is always on the lookout for experts in the areas of compliance and energy surveys, who can keep abreast of updates to UK and international energy sector legislation.
A compliance auditor is responsible for ensuring that a company is adhering to governmental regulations relevant to its business. They also review and enforce compliance with standards or regulations imposed by professional organisations or even a company’s internal guidelines. Many compliance auditors act as consultants, though some may work within a company’s own compliance department.
As a trainee legislation/compliance manager, you will be responsible for supporting the legislation/compliance manager in achieving compliance with professional standards. You will be required to assist with such things as performing risk assessments, gathering information and preparing reports. You will also be expected to develop your knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Starting salaries average £18,000.
