This qualification offers a two-day introduction to this specialised industry sector. In addition to complementing your current industry qualifications and experience. It contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely around a vehicle that may have had damage to its high energy/electrical system, allowing you to carry out your job role effectively. These roles include but are not exclusive to:
- Maintenance and Repair Technician
- MET Technician
The course is designed for anyone who may encounter electric/hybrid vehicles within a routine maintenance situation. You will have an interest in gaining the knowledge to work safely when carrying out repair activities on electric/hybrid vehicle high voltage systems.
Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement
The course covers builds on the skills and knowledge covered in the IMI Level 2 Award as well as the following key areas:
- working safely on an electric/hybrid vehicle
- using information to carry out the task
- carrying out repairs on high energy electrical systems
- gathering information and making suitable recommendations
This knowledge-based qualification is tested via a multiple-choice test and practical assessment

A multiple-choice test and practical assessment are carried out within our classroom and workshop respectively.

All the equipment/resources you require for this course are provided by B&FC at no extra cost
All staff involved in the delivery of business to business courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. Our teaching staff are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
